TREASURE

had to do a whip-dash speed through the rubbish chaz today for reasons i shan't go into. someone is definitely getting rid of an old relative's stuff because i found some delightful items i shall photograph tomorrow. also recently there have been some 50s chairs (so tempting, but dreadful upholstery and i have enough chairs for now) and a gorgeous 50s coffee table for a fiver (which some bugger beat me to, HOW DARE THEY?) i also scored, if that is the right word since i am dubious about both items:
a strange vase, £2
a horrid towel, 75p

i don't know. the vase looks a bit like my schreiber west german fat lava vase (also scored from the rubbish chaz). and the floral towel, well, yes, it's horrible, it reminds me of wet and mouldering towels in strange student bathrooms, and yet, and yet.... all the floral sheets i've been eyeing up have somehow alerted me to the aesthetics of 70s florals, wherever they may be found. so here we are. well, it was only 75p. and i can always put it in the shop. i'm sure if i wait long enough, it will eventually come en vogue. everything does, in the end, right?
